1. Introduction

These Community Guidelines apply to all communities using Guardiobot for protection. They set baseline standards of conduct that apply across every protected server and experience — regardless of individual server rules. They exist alongside, not instead of, your platform's own rules (Discord Community Guidelines, Roblox Community Standards).

Server administrators may configure Guardiobot to enforce stricter standards than those set out here. They may not configure it to permit conduct that falls below these standards.

2. Safety First

The safety of younger users is the core reason Guardiobot exists. The following rules apply without exception and without configuration override:

  • No child sexual abuse material or child exploitation of any kind. Any detection triggers immediate permanent action. There are no warnings, no appeals, and no exceptions.
  • No grooming behaviour. Requests to move conversations to private channels, requests for personal information from minors, age or location probing, and gradual boundary testing are detected and actioned automatically.
  • No contact solicitation targeting minors. Attempts to move younger users from public servers to private messaging for any purpose are prohibited.

3. Respect and Conduct

  • No harassment or targeted abuse. Persistent negative attention, coordinated attacks, doxxing, and campaigns intended to distress a specific person are prohibited.
  • No threats. Direct threats of violence, self-harm encouragement, and content designed to intimidate are prohibited.
  • No hate speech. Slurs, dehumanising language, and content targeting a person or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristic are prohibited. Detection covers obfuscated and encoded variants.
  • No impersonation. Pretending to be a Guardiobot volunteer, staff member, or another user to deceive or manipulate is prohibited.

4. Content Rules

  • No NSFW content in non-designated spaces. Explicit sexual content, graphic violence, or gore must not appear in channels accessible to younger audiences. Server administrators who designate adult-only channels are responsible for ensuring appropriate access controls are in place.
  • No spam. Mass mention spam, duplicate message flooding, raid coordination, and bot abuse are detected and actioned automatically.
  • No scams or phishing. Links to phishing pages, cryptocurrency scams, and fraudulent offers are checked against safety databases and blocked.
  • No illegal content. Content that facilitates illegal activity — distribution of illegal goods, illegal weapons instruction, or any other unlawful material — is prohibited.

5. Reporting

If you encounter content you believe violates these guidelines or the platform's rules, you can submit an anonymous report through the Guardiobot right-click context menu in Discord. Your identity is cryptographically protected — your Discord user ID is hashed before storage and is never visible to volunteers reviewing your report.

Submitting a report in good faith, even if the content is ultimately found not to violate any rule, will not result in any negative consequence to you. Submitting bad-faith or malicious reports is a violation of the Acceptable Use Policy.

6. Consequences

Violation of these guidelines may result in:

  • An automatic warning (for lower-severity detections)
  • A temporary mute or restriction
  • A kick from the server
  • A ban — which propagates automatically across every server in the Guardiobot network. A banned user cannot join any protected server until the ban expires or is successfully appealed
  • A permanent ban with referral to the appropriate authorities (for CSAM and related offences)

Severity thresholds and automatic response actions are configurable by server administrators within permitted limits. All actions are recorded in an immutable audit log.

7. For Server Administrators

By adding Guardiobot to your server, you agree to these Community Guidelines and to our Terms of Service on behalf of your community. You are responsible for:

  • Configuring the Service appropriately for your community's context and audience
  • Ensuring your server's own rules do not conflict with these guidelines or the Acceptable Use Policy
  • Not configuring detection rules, filter exemptions, or enforcement thresholds in ways that would expose younger users to harmful content
  • Promptly removing Guardiobot if you no longer intend to use it in accordance with these guidelines
