1. Ownership

Guardiobot — including all software, source code, website content, designs, logos, documentation, and the Guardiobot name and brand — is owned by the individual operator and protected under UK copyright law, including the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, and applicable international intellectual property law.

The Guardiobot logo and name are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Guardio Inc. or any other third party using the "Guardio" name.

2. Licence to Use the Service

Subject to your compliance with our Terms of Service, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for its intended purpose of community moderation and safety.

You may not:

  • Copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of the Service or its content without prior written consent
  • Use the Guardiobot name, logo, or branding to imply affiliation or endorsement without our permission
  • Create derivative works based on the Service's software or content
  • Build competing services that substantially replicate the Service's functionality using knowledge derived from the Service

3. Third-Party Content

The Service integrates with Discord, Roblox, and other third-party platforms. Their respective intellectual property — including platform logos, trademarks, and API data — belongs to those platforms and is used in accordance with their developer terms.

Guardiobot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Discord Inc. or Roblox Corporation.

Content submitted by users through their Discord servers and Roblox experiences is not owned by Guardiobot. You retain ownership of your content. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of providing moderation and safety functionality.

4. Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that any content accessible through the Guardiobot website or dashboard infringes your copyright under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 or equivalent legislation, please send a written notice to legal@guardiobot.org containing:

  • Your full name and contact details (email address and postal address)
  • A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed
  • The URL or specific location of the allegedly infringing content on our platform
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or law
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
  • Your signature (electronic or physical)

We will review valid notices and respond within a reasonable time. Where content is found to infringe, we will remove or disable access to it.

Submitting a false or misleading copyright notice may result in legal liability under Section 512(f) of the DMCA or equivalent provisions.

5. Counter-Notice

If you believe content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to legal@guardiobot.org containing:

  • Your full name and contact details
  • Identification of the content that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
  • Your signature

Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will notify the original complainant. If they do not initiate legal proceedings within 10 business days, we may restore the content.

6. Repeat Infringers

We operate a repeat infringer policy. Users or accounts that are subject to multiple valid copyright infringement notices may have their access to the Service terminated.
