Refund Policy
1. General Policy
All payments made to Guardiobot are processed by Stripe and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law or as set out in this policy. By purchasing a subscription or making a donation, you acknowledge and agree to this policy.
2. Monthly Subscriptions
Guardiobot offers two paid subscription tiers — Community Manager ($4.99/month) and Developer ($6.99/month) — billed monthly on a recurring basis.
2.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. On cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period
- You will not be charged for the following period
- Your subscription features (AI chatbot, API access, etc.) remain available until the period ends
- No partial refund is issued for the unused portion of the current billing period
2.2 No refunds for past periods
We do not issue refunds for subscription periods that have already been charged, except in the circumstances described in sections 4 and 5 below.
2.3 Termination for breach
If your access to the Service is terminated due to a breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription period.
3. One-Time Donations
One-time donations made through the Guardiobot donate page are entirely voluntary and non-refundable. Donations do not entitle you to any features, services, or benefits beyond any recognition explicitly stated at the time of the donation.
The Supporter tier, granted in recognition of a one-time donation, is a goodwill gesture and does not create any contractual obligation.
4. Service Discontinuation
If we permanently discontinue the Service or a paid feature that forms a material part of your subscription, and we are unable to provide a reasonable alternative, we will issue a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period. We will give reasonable advance notice of any such discontinuation where possible.
5. Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer based in the UK, you may have statutory cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Specifically, you have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase.
However, by subscribing and receiving immediate access to the Service, you acknowledge that the Service is a digital service delivered immediately. Under Regulation 36, the right of withdrawal may not apply once performance of the contract has begun with your prior express consent and acknowledgement that you lose your right to withdraw.

6. How to Cancel
To cancel your subscription:
- Log in to your Guardiobot dashboard at guardiobot.org/pages/dashboard-login
- Navigate to your subscription settings and access the Stripe customer portal
- Follow the cancellation steps in the portal
