Volunteer Programme
Guardiobot is run by a small team of volunteers. We depend on them for keeping Guardiobot running, every ban, every report, every update depends on them. Want to help us? This is the place to apply.
We try to give you as many benefits as possible from volunteering, the benefits listed below are not the limit to what you can get!
Work on a live production system used by real communities. Not a tutorial project — actual users depending on the work you do.
Learn from people already working in safety, development, and operations. Ask questions, get feedback, grow your skills.
Volunteer ID, recognition in the Guardiobot server, letters of recommendation for those who want them, and a record of your contributions.
You set your own schedule. There are minimum hour expectations per role, but we work around your life — not the other way around.
Test and give direct feedback on features before they go public. Your input shapes what we build.
The actions you take directly affect real people's safety. That matters — and you can see the impact.
Every team has a specific focus. Pick the one that fits your skills and interests.
Report review & enforcement
Reviews reports, works with law enforcement and other organisations to report content and moderates Discord communities along with Roblox experiences.
Volunteer management & wellbeing
Manages volunteers, ensures policy compliance and responds to any user complaints or tickets.
Community, content & outreach
You're the public face of Guardiobot. Content creation, social media, community relations, partnerships, and analytics. You help communities discover the platform and understand what we do.
Platform engineering
Builds and maintains all of our systems. Knowledge or experience preferred.

No. This is a volunteer programme. There is no financial compensation. We're transparent about that from the start.
It varies by role. Officers typically commit to around 5 hours per month. Supervisors and Managers more. Your manager will discuss expectations before you start.
Not initially — we want you to settle into one team first. Cross-team collaboration happens naturally for some roles, but your primary responsibility stays with your team.
Yes. We'll always give a reason when we decline. If things change or you've addressed the feedback, you're welcome to apply again.
T&S volunteers review reports that may contain harmful or explicit content including material involving the exploitation of minors. This is a legal and ethical requirement — the role is restricted to adults, full stop.
Every volunteer receives a unique numeric ID. You use it to log in to the volunteer dashboard and it's publicly verifiable at guardiobot.org/verify/{id} so communities can confirm your credentials.
